What an incredible experience! M&P is proud to have had the privilege of attending GITEX Africa in Marrakech, Morocco, under the auspices of HRH the King of Morocco, where we had the opportunity to drive the participation of some of the world’s top brands in tech, digital payments, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity and fintech.
On the sidelines of the largest tech event on the continent, our team had the pleasure of facilitating engagements with some of the top government officials from across Africa, including H.E. Dr. Monica Musenero, Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Uganda; H.E. Belete Molla, Minister of Innovation & Technology of Ethiopia; H.E. Désiré-Cashmir KOLONGELE Eberande, Minister of Digital Transformation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo; H.E. Hamid Asghar Khan, Pakistan; Dr. Randa El Menshawy, Assistant to the Prime Minister of Egypt; Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government; Mr. Mohammed Drissi Melyani, General Director of the Digital Development Agency, Morocco; Mr. Noureddine Bakkali, Deputy General Director of Moroccan Poste; Dr. Ahmad Abdulhafez, VP of Cybersecurity Affairs at NTRA Egypt; Mr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director-General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Nigeria; Mr. Umar Garba Danbata, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communication Commission; Mr. CEO HON Kwadwo Baah AGYEMANG, Chief Executive of Ghana Digital Centers; and Mr. Stephen Cudjo-Seshie, Vice President of Cybersecurity Authority of Ghana.
It was an absolute joy to see the commitment these officials have towards leveraging technology to achieve the full potential of the African economy. We had engaging discussions on how to overcome challenges and identify opportunities to advance digital transformation and enhance financial inclusion, with a focus on strengthening cybersecurity measures to ensure a safe and secure digital environment.
